When I think about it, the only moral decision during a war is to throw a grenade to the munitions depo of your own side.
@applejack
No.... War is a prisoners dilema.
No war can me waged, if army cannot be built. But saying "no" is not enough. But this action could work, even if 1/20 people were willing to do it.
The only way to win is to burn the playing set.
@LukeAlmighty If you disarm yourself you're going to be abused by someone that wont. Even if 20/20 of your people do it, some other nation wont. It's better to fight a war than be a slave
@applejack You just said, it's better to accept being slave then try not to be.
@LukeAlmighty I don't understand how this ties into the original message. A slave to what?
@applejack
A slave to the recruiter, general and the asshole who started a draft.
@LukeAlmighty What does that have to do with morality?
@applejack
Well, if making war impossible isn't moral, I don't know many things that are.
@applejack
Kreia: "to believe in an ideal, is to be willing to betray it?
I know my Star Wars philosophy. Don't worry.
@PapaPole @applejack
Again, I kinda think you guys are missing the problem with the concept of war...
@PapaPole @applejack
Yes, that is a point I agree with.
If the fight has a point, definitely go for it.
But if your choice is to either be drafted to fight for a jew, or to make the draft into a "bad idea", then the choice seems clear to me.
And, as I said. If presence of drafted people is not beneficial, the draft won't be done. People with IQ under 80 aren't accepted to army for the same purpose.
@PapaPole @applejack
And if neither side can do a draft... good luck with that war of yours.
@LukeAlmighty Then you're moral and dead, good job
