Starfield spoiler
@RehnSturm256
Oh... Should I check the cringe? I just saw the ending, where you can become one true rick.
But seriously, at this point, I don't care about the game, since the devs themselves cannot decide if they even want to do FPS, RPG, city builder or a flight sim.
@RehnSturm256
I would preffer a remake of flashpoint.... But:
That is, because 9/10 superhero movies these days are a "fight your own clone origin story". And this flash was obviously yet again the same movie I saw 30 times in last decade.
re: Starfield spoiler
@LukeAlmighty oh uh sorry for the spoiler, I figured it’s safe to spoil a dumb story from a disappointing game that
I could be wrong, too. So don’t listen to it. Hah ha…
re: Starfield spoiler
@RehnSturm256
You cannot spoil a game I have 0 interest in
re: Starfield spoiler
@RehnSturm256
So, now I saw an explanation for the story....
And, there was literally nothing new I learned, since the ending + first artefact was all I needed to expect this exact shit anyway.
re: Starfield spoiler
@RehnSturm256
BTW, you are canonically the most boring person in all of multiverse fiction.
Immagine. You get the ability to travel the multiverse, and you use it it return back in time 1 week earlier to slightly altered universe.... And then do it again and again....
You are canonically Groundhog daying yourself.
re: Starfield spoiler
@RehnSturm256
And no, I am not joking or taking game mechanics too literally.
You have the knowledge of previous universes, because it grants you dialogue options, and there are even random universe variables, that are there specifically to show, that you are in fact the same person in a different reality.
re: Starfield spoiler
@LukeAlmighty see!? I hate that stuff. You can explore the friggin universe…and they instead have you playing deja vu in the same boring handful of planets occupied by ugly people. It’s lazy and terrible! All the lives you affected mean nothing because it’s all reset. The game doesn’t even let you eliminate most quest npcs, so it really feels like you’re trapped in a purgatory. ![]()

@icedquinn @RehnSturm256
BTW, this is actually the thing that made me fall in love with Skyrim.
I had an extreme dificulty mod installed, so there was no chance of fighting a dragon in 2nd story mission.
So..... If you don't do story missions, there are several reactions.
1) The world doesn't mention you as the "dragonborn". You are just a gigachad.
2) You cannot do main story, so you have to do sidequests instead. That leads to EXTREME IMMERSION. Especially, when you cannot fight anywhing stronger then a guard.
3) I realized, that the game literally is split between a true RPG, and a GOD power fantasy. And most people have never seen the first half.
@LukeAlmighty @icedquinn yes! Same, I did a playthrough in Skyrim where I didn’t learn I was Dragonborn as well, and it made the game more enriching as you accomplish things based more on your own merit and the game’s skills. I loved it, and was willing to forgo using Shouts and fighting dragons for that better experience ![]()
@RehnSturm256 @icedquinn
Interestingly enough, the world itself feel more real, when you're not being ambushed by dragons every 20 minutes :D
@supersid333 @icedquinn @RehnSturm256
I will definitelly agree with you there.
The combat didn't age well, and mods cannot fix it.
re: Starfield spoiler
@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty the most boring chosen one of all time, you relive entire universes but can’t use your knowledge of accumulated lifetimes to improve the living conditions of people that seem like they are living in a globalist “utopia” in the year 2050
Multiverse “theory” is a concept made by nihilistic, jaded, joyless people with no sense of adventure, wonder, or will to accept responsibility for their actions. Keep it out of my entertainment. ![]()

I don't believe that. It is a great storytelling tool, when used by people, who aren't retards.
re: Starfield spoiler
re: Starfield spoiler
@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty it was the worst aspect of even Star Trek TNG, because in the episode that had multiverse theory, you realize there are no real stakes and nothing matters. They still exist somewhere so it’s ok if the ship blows up, guys! Don’t worry! XDD
It’s awful and never used in a fulfilling way. It reached its peak with Marvel time travel shenanigans and that’s it
i also want to point out that Leftists like multiverse theory b.s. for the very reasons I mentioned in the previous post of mine, whereas Righties like exploring in their stories. Globohomo doesn’t want humanity to grow and value what is wonderful, they want to trap us in nihilism with stories that don’t matter.
re: Starfield spoiler
@RehnSturm256 @icedquinn
Lefties like it isn't areason I can take seriously. Sorry, I am just not that jaded yet.
re: Starfield spoiler
@LukeAlmighty @icedquinn uh, that wasn’t what I was implying, 🤨 I’m giving a reason why they like it, whether it’s 40 years ago, or now, Lefties like multiverse b.s. for the reasons I mentioned, like the nihilism “nothing matters” and unwilling to accept growth, etc.
When you have atheist le heccin science bros who want space communism stagnancy for humanity, they put that in their created media.
@RehnSturm256
Are you just begging to be blocked for atheism slander?
You know you can just block me instead if you hate atheism so much.
re: Starfield spoiler
@LukeAlmighty that’s what I got from the stream I saw
the point is, nothing matters with multiverse theory because everything still exists “somewhere” so there’s no stakes.
if you want to talk about movies, though, I recently saw the Flash movie, and maybe to some people they like experiencing “the same story, but a little different “ and with fan service, but I see it as a lack of imagination.
It never feels like there is any GROWTH to a world, it is just a remake or rerun in someone else’s vision (which describes comic books and their movies, but now it’s basically an acknowledged meta distinction by the creators)
