"Dude, why the fuck is the government banning porn? Why are they restricting the internet so hard? This can't be happening".

I have a feeling in 5 years people will say the trans community was a psyop to crack down on pornography online, like how many people view the shutting down of many sex centric websites to be the work of groups pulling gayops.

Certain communities cannot exist without an entire infrastructure and framework propping it up, which is either allowed to exist like car thieves in Canada or DO NOT REDEEM scammers, or propped up by the government like ones arresting you for "misgendering".

It's undoing won't even be the religious types, but the angry parents like in the Dearborn meeting.

I don't understand your theory...
How are troons connected to banning porn? I can see them as a psyop to many things.... Population reduction, destruction of trust among population, artificial identity to control weak willed teens.... But I don't see the connection to porn. And what's worse, I believe, that we are in a state, where porn and games are the only thing holding us from total breakdown. Do they want to accelerate collapse?

@LukeAlmighty >How are troons connected to banning porn?

Boomers see it as "porn made this guy trans", and that community has a very strong addiction to certain kinds of porn. To add to that, many people in that community decide "I want to be my SL avatar".

There's a fetish for it, called AGP or Autogynephilia.

@LukeAlmighty Anyhow, the LGBT community is very, obsessed and reliant on sex. People talk about their sexual discoveries from porn, and it influences their lifestyle.

There's also a lot of well funded lobby groups like the Heritage Foundation who put out a whole paper that's been cited by the trans lobby that advocates explicitly for banning porn because of kids being exposed to it. Much of this is mentioned by the guy in the beginning of this.

@LukeAlmighty To add to that, the Goonclown saga along with the "book bans", the saga with DESMOND IS AMAZING/Cuties, and others have shined a light on EPI, or early porn indoctrination and just how kids are being exposed to sexualized shit nowadays. Or even what I saw back in my day (late 00s/early 10s) with how everyone was so laissez-faire about pornography.

I easily wrote off seeing NSFW Tumblr comics linked to DeviantArt as "some neckbeard has no boundaries and just doesn't give a shit who follows him", but then there was a case of one porn artist who posted a NSFW comic in part and then linked the next part with the sex to DA and posted the link on Tumblr, and was on record saying that she wanted to expose pornography to kids. I remember seeing how the furry scene didn't give a shit about who you were, if you could post porn you did and it was assumed you'd find e621 anyway if you were underage. I didn't see it as grooming, but I spent a while with a misguided sense of sexuality and had my cards been different, I could have ended up in very fucked communities IRL too.

Everyone is seeing the end result of this, but doesn't know why or ends up so radicalized they want to ban all porn. They think it's the sole reason people turn to this, and it's also because the LGBT community has always overlapped with sexual stuff, openly or not. They see it as a final solution, ban porn and the problem goes away.
@LukeAlmighty One more final note, there's forces on both the left and the right who see drawing porn of kids show as a grooming method and the infamous "google searches showing porn of kids show characters" craze that has existed for eons. They don't get that the artist is almost certainly, always fucking horny. To them it has an insidious aspect to it, and the boomer/normie worldview is that there is always a motivation behind any action.

In 2019, after the Tumblr porn ban and during the rise in puritanism in left wing circles, this article from a throwaway/anon caused a shitstorm in nerd communities. This post in particular also spawned a specific breed of "moralfag"/puriteen in art communities too:
https://medium.com/@brazyintheday/kids-tv-has-a-porn-problem-84592d9514fc

It talked about a real controversial issue which is also an open secret in the anime scene: that a lot of animators were porn artists. It also talked about the massive amounts of MLP porn. Naturally the conclusion of the article was the same as boomers: instead of taking a lax approach they should do what Nintendo and some creator of an obscure cartoon did and whip the DMCA out.

Which a lot of internet warriors related to as well given that many of them got exposed to porn via image searches and DeviantArt, and now Twitter.

My point is; there are a lot of people out there who believe that society rot is a result of pornography online. Anything, and everything is a tool in the toolbox to use to censor the internet and porn. The end result of this as well doesn't stop new porn from happening, but rather gives you a situation like with current year Twitter where artists just fuck off from the site because they won't get comments on FA/the fedi/itaku/inkbunny/similar sites from people telling them "stop drawing porn of this".

Which is also where banning porn will end up. They will go to underground sites, and the images will get leeched and posted to Discord/Twitter/Telegram. Kids will still run across them regardless, even if it just makes it harder. It doesn't stop kids in Muslim countries from finding it after all.

Shit like Steven Universe having LGBT themes as the showrunner was balls deep on porn spheres online just adds fuel.

It's a really fucking messy situation, and had there not been people online who think it's a good idea to drag kids into this, it would have just languished.
