what’s funny is introducing yourself in a circle where ppl request pronouns, but I have never complied with any of those requests when I introduce myself because I am obviously a woman. When even the trans woman doesn’t need to clarify her pronouns, it really makes you think about how actually has a material basis for oppression.
So it’s just hilarious to me that every single time, the males identifying as “they/them” have to explicitly state so because they are obviously men. Inb4 ppl cry about it because these are grown men who aren’t transitioning or nothing lmaooo.
I don’t get it tbh, but I got the feeling that reading post modernist queer theory led to brain rot among leftist men

A great lie is still a lie though.
If you make a cake in shape of a shoe, it might look like a shoe, but you will regret stepping into it immediately.
Therefore, identifying troon just on the bases of them passing is just brain dead. It's not a bad thing to admit, that our perception is not perfect. But to bend our language around our incorrect observations is evil.

Well, there used to be a word "weird" for people who didn't fit. Maybe trying to push every single behavioral characteristics into a person's pants was what broke the consensus to begin with.
Also, I am a guy. People are uncomfortable around me by default, because I DO fit my gender. So, that argument means nothing to me either.

Basically this, I grew up a tomboy and always been this way but I suspect I would have been pushed into transitioning if I was born a few years later. As much as ppl don’t discuss it there is a huge element of heteronormativity in transitioning I feel like ppl don’t acknowledge.
The trans men I grew up with were severely bullied and mistreated growing up. I was one of the few kids who would bunk with one in 5th grade, and my other friend was an obvious Butch lesbian her entire childhood but I suppose it got harder in HS with homophobia. Also ppl would assume at the time my friend was trans or wanted to be a man because she was a Butch lesbian. My friend chose to transition during sophmore year and i can’t speak for that decision but I do remember our other friends parents kinda pushing that narrative.
Historically speaking he/him lesbians existed to survive in secret and blend in, some ppl might try to argue that they were trans but it was survival from a historical context. Alan Turing killed himself bc of forced chemical castration and some ppl argue he was trans when he never said he was. marsha P Johnson is another popular example, the one ppl completely made up started the stonewall riots.
When Malcom was a gay man, identified as such, was a drag queen, and admitted himself he wasn’t at that riot. There’s a lot of historical revisionism going on when it comes to LGBT history but bisexuals and transsexuals were not well regarded and were seen as a hindrance to the gay rights movement. Sylvia Rivera has some famous speeches were she was booed on stage.
