@LukeAlmighty @pepsi_man @nixCraft @lanodan I get what he’s saying. He’s not arguing that zero knowledge/wisdom/skills are transmitted from older generations.
But rather, in earlier times, a man was expected to inherit the family trade. Nowadays, even this once basic and fundamental facet of our existence - so easily taken for granted - not only cannot be counted on; it’s almost considered aberrant.
This state of affairs is suboptimal.
