The problem seems to be a simple disconnect between rules women create, and the world these rules create.

Since, women know the rules will never apply to them, they can create a "looking at people is rape" rule, and still live in the old world for the most part.

I seriously don't believe, that they even know what kind of dread their nonsense is creating.
