I talked to a troon recently, and he just mentioned, that he cannot find a job.

Of course, that was followed by: "A living wage in Pregue is about 70k czk per month. (before tax)"

Well, that certainly didn't help the dellulu stereotype :D

@mactonite @LukeAlmighty >Delulu (/dəˈluːluː/) is an internet slang term used to describe the belief that one can influence one's own destiny through sheer willpower. Derived from the English-language word "delusional", the term has its origins in K-pop communities where the term delulu is used to refer to individuals who were in a parasocial relationship with celebrities and had hopes of meeting them someday. The term has subsequently been adopted by Generation Z and Generation Alpha, popularized by viral TikTok trends such as the catchphrase "delulu is the solulu", implying that self-confidence is key to achieving one's dreams, however far-fetched. Solulu and trululu are slang terms for "solution" and "truth" respectively, and they are modeled after delulu.
meh
@lina @LukeAlmighty hmm what does this willpower entail, is it effort or wishful thinking?
@mactonite @LukeAlmighty dude idk, i think it's just wishful thinking because it's related to k-pop shit and the typical k-pop fan will never put in the effort for whatever he wants
@LukeAlmighty With some guesswork: depending on how big taxes, contributions to social security/insurance funds, and utility expenses are, this probably translates to 25-50k on hands, which is $1-2k. Not sure how big food, clothes and other expenses are, but this seem just right to accumulate some savings as well as to indulge limited consumerism, though probably above base survival. Unless there is also rent, which probably will cut half/most of it. How far am I off?

@iamtakingiteasy
Well, my expenses are about 25k, and I go to restaurant daily. So, yeah. It's insanely above the living wage.
