@coolboymew I mean why make a successor to """"""""""most successful console ever"""""""""" at all? What Nintendo could do? More gimmicks? Better hardware?

@hj @coolboymew
Why would modernization be a bad thing?

BTW, switch is perfect, but it is 8 years old already. Tears of the kingdom was pushing it to the limit.

@LukeAlmighty @coolboymew modernizing what exactly? Nintendo not gonna make Mario 64 RTX, pushing graphics to next level were never their thing.

If they make new console it will be akin to DSi - slightly better hardware but not much, games will still have to target OG switch and exploit extended functionality if needed. Maybe recycle old gimmicks like dual screen again.

Well, it would be nice to stay above 15 FPS to be honest.

I completely agree with the minimalist graphics. In fact, I see them as essential. But the hardware is in fact getting way too slow. If they can push the HW without adding weight, I see that as an absolute win.
And 8 year advancement in HW is definitelly not something you can just ignore, right?

@LukeAlmighty @coolboymew since when Nintendo cared about fps? They cared about it in F-Zero X but that franchise is deader than shit.

Not to mention that nintendies eat up even 10fps and cloud streaming games and ask for more, so why bother?
