Dude in Italy in 2022 women made up 39% of homicide victims (126 on 322). That's the difference.
Do you have nigger brain and can't do basic math?
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty I don't care about Italy. You made a point about Japan being a unique case, and the numbers I could find told me otherwise. In fact they told me that Japan is a safer country for women (in terms of risking homicide) than Austria.
Where have you taken the data?
We should also look at updated data (like the one I brought up).
Austria and Germany notoriously have problems with gender based violence, it doesn't matter that it's worse than Japan. All these countries, including Japan, have a problem, at least considering they are first world countries
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty >Where have you taken the data?
Wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homicide_statistics_by_gender

>We should also look at updated data (like the one I brought up)
Give me an easy to sort through worldwide list, and I will do that.

>Austria and Germany notoriously have problems with gender based violence
Since I have statistics only for homicide, that's all I can talk about, but Austria is the second safest country in Europe with more than a million inhabitants. Italy would based on this statistic have around three homicided women per one million inhabitants, still more than Japan.
That doesn't make sense because 2022 data says it's 39%.
I could look this up tomorrow maybe, but definitely not on wiki because it has outdated data
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty 2013 data has 31% female homicide victim rate for Italy, so these numbers are even more in your favor in terms of women murdered per one million inhabitants, assuming the murder rates have stayed the same.
The chart you posted still proves my point. Japan has a problem and this doesn't exclude that some European countries also have it.

Austria and Germany basically have legalized human trafficking ("all you can fuck brothels") so I'm not surprised they rank high on this chart.
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty >I'm not surprised they rank high on this chart
THEY LITERALLY RANK THE LOWEST!
I am telling you that Japan is comparable to the safest countries in Europe, not the least safe!
If Japan has a problem, everyone does.
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty Let's take some other famous countries, and see how safe they are for women:

USA, 18%, 14 women murdered per one million pop
UK, 30%, 3 women murdered per one million pop
China, 22%, 2 women murdered per one million pop
Russia, 25%, 23 women murdered per one million pop
Romania, 38%, 6 women murdered per one million pop

Japan is as safe or safer for women than all of these countries based strictly on how often women are murdered.
The point is that the gender imbalance in homicide rate is an anomaly and it means that japanese men might have more problems with women than men from other countries.
It could be explained with Japs being affected by mental illness more often, but I think it's more cultural.

@RikaDerufu > japanese men might have more problems with women
makes sense, I've heard women there can be very cold @LukeAlmighty @Jens_Rasmussen

I assume it's a messy mix of Japan being still very "trad" and on the counterpart having more extreme expressions of feminism (like SK) that causes a lot of tension between the genders
@RikaDerufu @mischievoustomato @LukeAlmighty If the few murders that do happen are politically motivated, and not motivated by insanity or loss of emotional control, why are more than half of victims family members of the murderer?
I would assume it's the same of what happens in Italy but at a lower ratio for women in that country.
Men are still culturally attached to the idea that they have to control the life of the women in their family (wife, daughter etc), and at the same time these women want to embrace modernity and the more extreme version of feminism that country like SK are experiencing. This causes resentment so these men end up killing them, because asian still have a deep feeling of shame regarding their family.
I think the gender imbalance is worse on countries like Japan in SK because there the culture is way more controlling over women, so men are gonna react worse to the effect of feminism and women emancipation.
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty @mischievoustomato "My daughter is a feminist, so I killed her because anime told me to."
Every Japanese man, according to the UN.
I said from the beginning that I think anime doesn't have a role here.
It's like saying crime tv shows in the US cause crime.
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty @mischievoustomato So you think the quote is accurate if the part about anime is edited out? You do realise that fewer Japanese women per capita get killed than Italian ones, right?
If you edit the anime part out you are only left with "I killed my daughter" which doesn't tell anything.
I would think it's"I killed my daughter because I can't accept that she will bring shame to my family by not marrying the guy I chose for her, choosing the education I chose for her etc".
In case of husbands/boyfriends I would assume it's a "I killed my wife/gf because she left after she discovered that I'm cheating"
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty @mischievoustomato >If you edit the anime part out you are only left with "I killed my daughter"
If you remove the anime part from "My daughter is a feminist, so I killed her because anime told me to" you get "My daughter is a feminist, so I killed her", stop lying.
You are also not addressing the "every Japanese man says this", so I am assuming you wrongly believe that every Japanese woman lives under fear of death if she does not go into an arranged marriage or get into medical/law school.
>I killed my wife/gf because she left after she discovered that I'm cheating
No concept of "I killed her because she was cheating on me", because women are always innocent, right?
Arranged marriages are way more common in Asia, you should know that.
And again I never said all japanese women live under fear.
I'm also not saying that women are all innocent, I literally said multiple time that an effect of this is the extremist expression of feminism in more trad countries.
And women can cheat too of course, but it's more normalized and expected from men in Japan. It's not mostly women the ones who are pay cash money to date high schoolers.

You are arguing in bad faith and keep trying to prove a point that you don't have. I'm sick tired of you.
@RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty @mischievoustomato >Arranged marriages are way more common in Asia, you should know that
They are about as rare as murders these days, at least in Japan. It's not the 20th century anymore.

>I literally said multiple time that an effect of this is the extremist expression of feminism in more trad countries
Online discourse has come a long way if "extremist expression of feminism" is not wanting an arranged marriage and not getting the education that your parents would wish that you'd get.

>And women can cheat too of course, but it's more normalized and expected from men in Japan
What do you base that on? As far as I know it is equally expected of men and women to cheat.

>You are arguing in bad faith and keep trying to prove a point that you don't have
Liar. I am arguing in good faith that Japan is a safe country for women and that women who get killed in Japan are generally unfortunate victims of someone who is insane or evil, rather than victims of some anti-feminist culture. You have done nothing to prove the contrary, all the numbers and theories presented so far back up my arguments and theories.
Isn't it pretty likely that the US just has more gang violence and that ups the male numbers?
Not all countries where the number for women is lower have a significant problem with gangs
I assumed Europe may have developed a problem with brown ethnic gangs recently, but maybe that isn't the case
@KonataWagner @RikaDerufu @LukeAlmighty @mischievoustomato The numbers are from 2013, remember.
Even so, murder is quite rare. We are not looking at numbers for assault and sexual misconduct which would have seen some change from before and after the migration increases of the last decades.
Have we established that women are less likely to be murdered in Japan than in the other countries we're discussing?
The homicide per Capita as a whole is lower (I made the mistake of saying the opposite at the beginning of the trade) but there is a gender imbalance that is an anomaly. In 2020 is almost 10% more women killed than men

@KonataWagner @mischievoustomato @RikaDerufu @Jens_Rasmussen
It's literally a case of:
1) Japan is one of the safest places in the world for men
2) Japan is one of the safest places in the world for women

3) Some people are angry, because it is slightly safer for the men then women.

And I am supposed to read this in any other way then hatred towards men. Because you still have places, where the ratio is 87% male, and noone cares about that.

>no one cares about le 87% men

Those men are killed by other men, most of the time for gang-related violence.
I always said I'm against negroid culture, so stop strawmanning.

Me pointing out a unusual gender imbalance doesn't mean that I want more men to be killed, for fuck sake

@RikaDerufu @mischievoustomato @KonataWagner @Jens_Rasmussen
You say, that you care about imbalance, yet, the first article you showed me was about a 3 percent difference.

Do you seriously believe, what I could possibly believe you based on that? In any possible way?

@LukeAlmighty @RikaDerufu @mischievoustomato @KonataWagner @Jens_Rasmussen She thought it was 2% until someone posted wikipedia with better rageslop. If someone posted an article saying it was 20% she would say it is 20%. It's only a ground for her criticism of Japanese society and nothing else.

@Griffith @LukeAlmighty @KonataWagner @RikaDerufu @Jens_Rasmussen all she said is that it's fucked up that women die more in Japan than men, which is fucked up imo

@mischievoustomato @Griffith @LukeAlmighty @KonataWagner @RikaDerufu @Jens_Rasmussen I think it's fucked up that you think men should die more than women.

In reality, it's not that there is more violence against women in Japan, what's going on is the homicide rate is really low, especially street violence, which is where most men get murdered in places like the US. What's left is domestic murder, which tends to be mostly female, which only slightly overtakes males being murdered. But murder is also incredibly low.

@Elliptica @LukeAlmighty @KonataWagner @RikaDerufu @Griffith @Jens_Rasmussen why do you think i want more men to die? I'm a man. Haven't you thought that instead I would want both rates of deaths to be lower? I don't get you guys way of thinking at all

@mischievoustomato @Griffith @LukeAlmighty @KonataWagner @RikaDerufu @Elliptica @Jens_Rasmussen
Because the solution to this "problem" is killing more men. It's not killing less women because the country already is one of the safest in the world.

@Cyrillic @LukeAlmighty @KonataWagner @Elliptica @RikaDerufu @Griffith @Jens_Rasmussen how? if there's people being murdered then there's a problem to be solved, not "lets get more men dead". That Japan is one of the safest countries doesn't mean that in their own context they don't have problems

Please repeat after me.

>>> Japan is safe for women...
Therefore, I am happy for men in there to be safe too. <<<

Repeat it 10 times, and you might realize that you are debating over not enough men being killed.

@LukeAlmighty I'm not gonna reply anymore because this thread just has stubborn people in it, sorrynotsorry. That's not what I've been debating for at all, bye @KonataWagner @Elliptica @RikaDerufu @Griffith @Cyrillic @Jens_Rasmussen
