Romania's injustice system is out of control, they may seriously cause the country to be hit with US sanctions for their tyrannical lawfare at this rate. I don't even know what their end game is; cancelling the last election literally caused support for Călin Georgescu to double, and if they ban him from running altogether because of Muh Russia, his voters will just go to another Nationalist (there are several, and they WILL coordinate so that the weaker candidates eventually drop out to rally around the strongest one before the election). FFS, the only reason Georgescu was able to win the last election in the first place was that the Constitutional Court had banned the much more well-known Diana Șoșoacă from running (literally just because it disliked her politics).

Meanwhile, Establishment blob Crin Antonescu will seemingly struggle to even make it into round 2, despite the governing parties uniting behind him. The absolute best-case scenario for them is a pro-Western anti-Establishment candidate like Bucharest mayor Nicușor Dan winning, actually getting one of their own people elected seems like a lost cause at this point.
