So until sideloading is a thing on iPhone outside the eurozone, it's gotta run in a browser, it's gotta feel like a native app, and it needs to be able to use a small set of domains on equipment that's unfriendly to IP law and that can be redeployed quickly in the event of a takedown.

I have put the websites rght to bookmarks next to the payed one. My dad is a smart guy, so he knows how to use it, but my mom is INCAPABLE of understanding the process of "literally the same process, but click a different website".
Somewhere I reacently heard, that for boomers, evening news is a primary sensory organ. And I can prove it. My mom knows I go to 10 conventions per year easily. She doesn't much care, but as soon as the Prague Comic con was on news, not only did she record it... Not only was ecstatic to talk to me over the phone about it... We even went through the entire segment together several times to get my full comment.
It was as if she saw it for the first time. And the same problem is with these websites. Until they get an advert on TV, they just don't exist.
@r000t
Sure... You mean like Manga apps are already doing?
@r000t
Sorry for the necro, but I got stuck thinking, and I cannot figure out what you meant by that post 😢
How can it possibly be easier then streaming sites?
@LukeAlmighty
No logins, no payment details. You go to whatever fly by night domain I manage to grab and there's all your shit. Local storage for preferences
@LukeAlmighty
Being free will swing a lot of people especially if their finances are hurting, but providing a better UX will have a few people saying "Why are you *paying* for worse service?!"
Did you know that you can't play 4K Netflix content on most devices, even if you paid full boat for the 4K subscription?
It's not a performance problem. It's a DRM problem. WebTorrent will play 4K anywhere.
@LukeAlmighty
Not for iPhone zoomers.
I need to be able to get people from "heard about it" to "watching something" faster than it takes to install an app and provide payment details.
And I think WebTorrent is the answer.
