Sargon of Accad said that when you see a person from your culture, you gain a small level of telepathy. You look at a person's face, and you know their intent. Their words do not have any hidden meaning, and you can form an actual connection. On the other hand, when you are outside of your culture, literally, any conversation can turn suddenly hostile based on you missing a smirk or a phrase.
As an autistic guy, I can tell you that my demands for a specific subculture are insanely more precise than for normies, but living outside of it is the same as being denied a certain nutrition. At first, you might be ok for a week, but after years of hunger, it drains and deforms you.

If culture was genetical, then I would share a culture with my mother. I don't. She doesn't share enough ideas (memes) wish me to be able to communicate even the most basic of concepts. Her entire family is as foreign to me as Hindus are.

First off, these are survival strategies.
Second: YES, we have a completely different set of financial strategies. I wouldn't call that a culture, unless you are a jew, but sure....
survival strategies ARE instinct you dolt. what else would explain an african's inability to budget for the future? they live entirely in the present, because food is easy to get. they've never had to weather thru periods where nothing grows for half the year and all drinkable water is frozen. the closest thing that they get is drought, in which case they just pack up and walk for a few days to a place where there isnt a drought.
these observations of behavior are observations of instinct. of culture. they are all the same thing. as for your mother, maybe she's just stupid.stupid people and stupid animals tend to not survive without others picking up the slack for them
