Nah, I think it evolved greatly. Not every story needs to be a Heroe's jurney.
@Jens_Rasmussen
Well, in the begining he was ambicious because he was a normal human with some additional strength. But when he gained a knowledge of an inevitable conflict, that would in almost all variants lead to eradication of his people, he had to act.
He saw this as the only way to save his friends as well as Paradis for a long term, so obviously he wasn't energetic with that kind of weight on his shouilders.
You can even see in the show, that he doesn't start his murderious rampage all the way until the declaration of war, since until then, it could be argued, that there was still some hope. But he know there wasn't.
@LukeAlmighty @Jens_Rasmussen It was also predestined to boot. I forget the details around the Attack Titan’s memories from future holders, and I guess you can argue that Eren could have acted differently, but before he even received his Titan his dad already received Eren’s memories of the future we got
Eren’s actual portrayal as a prisoner of fate was great. That is why he seemed cold and had to hype himself up to act, he did not “just want to kill everything”
@Jens_Rasmussen @LukeAlmighty Making text green does not make fate any less fateful
@Jens_Rasmussen @frost
Well, no. The declaration of war was before his in olvement, and his life was only 1/3 of the reasons for it.
2nd were crystals under Paradis, and 3rd was eradication of Eldians.
