Why do you think the ship was sunk then?

I mean the question btw. I am well uninformed, but I want to know any wider goal for attacking a piggy bank ship, then just a mistake.

@LukeAlmighty @Oven_Operators_LU_88 uncensored AI says: "Israel attacked the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War, killing 34 American sailors and injuring 171. The attack lasted for two hours, with Israeli fighter jets strafing the ship and dropping napalm, while torpedo boats fired on the vessel. The Liberty had been monitoring Israeli communications and was in international waters. Israel claimed it was an accident, but survivors and many experts believe it was a deliberate attempt to conceal Israel's expansion into the Gaza Strip and Sinai Peninsula. The U.S. government has never fully investigated the incident, fueling conspiracy theories."

I thought it was to drag the US into a war. I'm also ignorant on the matter
@LukeAlmighty @Oven_Operators_LU_88 they still have some subversion inside, so be aware. But it's useful for a few things

I am convinced it was an attempted false flag to drag the US into their war with Egypt.
And because there was no accountability, they have repeatedly attacked their neighbors and killed people ever since.
@JollyR @LukeAlmighty @Oven_Operators_LU_88 yes, that was what i had the impression of, but without any further details on it
