I am starting to think, that Microsoft execs are too stupid to see, that their empire is build on the OS as a pillar, not just as a past step.

I mean, think of Space X. What are they payed for? Are they payed for building rockets? No... They are payed for satellites. So... Why are they actually building rockets? Get rid of that division........... Why cannot we lunch more satellites all of a sudden?

@LukeAlmighty Doesn't Microsoft make more money off their cloud and AI stuff than the OS at this point? I think it's the same with Amazon, no? AWS pulls in massive amounts for them I belive.

@fish
Microsoft AI is the emptiest bubble of all the AI bubbles. They have to include literally all browser, file explorer and office users into the list of AI users, because noone cares about it otherwise.

And all of that are the ecosystem users, that are being pushed out by win 11.

@LukeAlmighty I see. Well, I don't really follow the news like I once did so I'm admittedly not really informed on these matters.

In that case, yeah it's kinda confusing why they seem to be making all the wrong moves lately. Guess they're trying desperately to appease all those insipid shareholders? 😆

I hate to be that guy... (my vommie friends are being a bad influence I guess) But CAPITALISM :ablobcheer2:

just kidding. I am not that stupid.
It's the public trading. When you change ownership of company from a private to public, you no longer care about the long term health of the company. What you do care about is to get the stock price to the highest possible point as fast as possible with 0 regard for the sustainability. Because, if you sell your shares in a 2000% bubble, and the company goes bankrupt the next day, you literally made the best investment possible.

So, under this system, bubbles are not a bug, but an essential and desirable feature. If you want stable corporations, stock trading should be made illegal.

I just paid for Microsoft software for the first time in my life, ever.

They literally locked me out of editing the resume I made for free over five years ago.
