Going back to watching the Nolan Batman trilogy, and I have to admit, that I really miss the Bruce Wayne part of Batman stories.
They really did show all 3 sides of Batman.

On the other hand, you cannot place the story in a mid 2000s NewYork, and just call it Gotham. That city has a character, that modern movies just ignore for no reason.
