To this day, Crunchyroll was unable to translate the Interspecies reviewers.

So, what the fuck do these investors expect to get? More insulted fanbase for using an AI, or more lost fans because of the miserable quality of the translations?

HOW HARD IS IT TO JUST HIRE A FEW JAPANESE PEOPLE WHO SPEACH ENGRISHU?

@LukeAlmighty Didn't the Interspecies Reviewers dub stop because of the genderswap episode? Anyway, translating ain't the issue: consistent editorial oversight over said translations (and the lack thereof) is. That the Japanese gov't sees AI as a means to piss on piracy, as opposed to a way of protecting what little cultural integrity the industry has, tells us all we need to know.

@colahpse
It stopped, because Crunchy roll realized, they catered to the woke mob for too long, and they had a based show on their hands all of a sudden.

And they chickened out.

@LukeAlmighty @colahpse I wouldn't call that show based, but I don't really like ecchi stuff.
Also, hasn't that been out with subs for years?

@Jens_Rasmussen @colahpse
They pretty much payed the entire production, so they could have the show for themselves, and released only 1 dubbed episode.

They are cowards. The subs existing doesn't change that. Pirates can do subs well too.
