Drinker seriously thinks Disney needs to appeal to Normies with Star Wars now? Did he learn nothing?
Super-fans are the marketing engine of any franchise. If they believe the product will be good, they will never shut up about it.
So, fuck Thrawn, he was tainted in Ahsoka again, and Disney cannot do him properly now. Not to mention, that he's a legends character to begin with.
No... Disney still does have one card they can play to completely re-ignite Star Wars. They can literally get to the EP-1 hype level over night, but this one card is all they actually have. And I feel retarded for even having to spell this out, but:
1) Revan has so much deep lore, that even most hardcore fans don't know 10% of it. They definitely know, that they need to watch it though.
2) The one game everyone knows has enough hype to re-ignite a fucking star.
3) Keanu Reeves
There is enough story for 2 trylogies. One for revan, and one for the Triangulate. And if you have time to spare, you can do the Shadow of Revan too. They have so much gold sitting right there. And people were screaming about him since the acquisition, so the chance of KK not knowing this is the correct anwser has to be fucking 0.
Why do corpos hate money so much?
@fkq1q2r2
Well, while I agree with the first half, and the 2nd is obviously a logical step considering, that you don't want to end with a never ending soft no-reboot loop like DC, I still disagree.
If they did a clean cut with the old shit, and somehow (they won't), they did make a great Revan movie, the hype would return over night.
@LukeAlmighty
If they did a series with the same passion and respect as Jedi Acedmy and Outcast and KOTOR, then it would be very well received.
Just like the first season of The Witcher. Make a good show and people will like it.
@LukeAlmighty
Disney showed they can't be trusted with any lore with The Acolyte. Best thing would be for Disney to lock it in a vault for a decade.
