Watching a youtube video and I couldn't help but notice that Battlefield 6 is extremely well optimized at launch and takes maybe 10 seconds to cache shaders when you first launch the game. Man, almost like its running on a studios inhouse engine that has been built to only run this specific type of game for over a decade, almost like that's a good thing or something, crazy.
It also looks really good without any Ray Tracing, tank your frames tech, and uses lighting and texturing tech from a decade ago, again its incredible what a studio can do when they aren't just farting out a UE5 asset flip
Metro Exodus is 6 years old and is eclipsed only by Cyberpunk 2077 in terms of visual fidelity, and its running on a bootleg upgraded version of the XRay engine that ran the old Stalker games, meanwhile Stalker 2 is a UE5 slop game that makes my computer crash if I run it for too long.
@Shadowman311 the thing that makes me a rationally angry is that they're ditching their frostbite engine which was used for cyberpunk to instead use unreal engine for The Witcher. Talk about a performance and visual downgrade that's going to be.
