That's actually insane Russia has lost so many vehicles / weapon systems that some units are now using horses to get over hard terrain.

The ukrainians were initially surprised and unfortunately had to use gunfire to bring the animals down and the riders.

But soon adapted by having the Drone operators used flybys to scare the animals to throw the men off their horses and then shot them without harming the animal mostly...
