@Bernard not really true of Thomas Jefferson, he didn't care if you weren't Christian or white as far as I can tell, he was okay with Muslims for example.
@Mr_NutterButter or, at least, they cared more about getting a country bootstrapped than getting every specific issue even if they disagreed.
@sun exactly that's why the vast majority of houses in the United States are made out of wood and not brick it's because it was ordered by Washington originally to construct houses and government buildings like that to rebuild quickly and it just never got revised.
A large majority of the flaws we have right now is because they wanted to create a stable foundation to make sure that the thing wouldn't collapsed in on itself after they won and it just never got fixed properly or put into place.
