I don't really like social media. Heck, I don't really like talking to people in general. I recently started a new chapter in my life and I decided that I should probably change that.
I want to branch out and engage with a community away from the all-seeing eye of the outrage mob that exists on platforms like twitter.
I want to find and engage with people who are interested in what I'm doing and I want to find other people doing interesting things, too.
I think mastodon has a unique advantage in that sense as it appears to be populated more by actual people as oppose to PR teams and social media managers.
