you can swim almost normally as a zora once your magic is depleted by pressing the right button as opposed to a in the orig. I get why they did it, swimming is hard to control for noobs and its analogous to the spikyballdash function of gorons. still makes it less fun though. the only change I'm really grateful for is the ability to store more pictographs.

I didn't know the Japanese version was different from the american and that certain places in the bay were only reachable by dolphin jumping. I do enjoy a good dolphin jump though lol

reassuring cause i suspected most of these. i was bummed by how easy getting into the deku palace seemed. and of course they nerfed the skeleton captain guy, cause you can only fight him once and WHY WOULD WE MAKE PEOPLE REPEAT SHIT?!?! (fucking hunt for hidden bombers in the beginning I mean you) and the fucking ice arrows?!? what a stupid goddamn mechanic change. gosh thanks this video saved my poor followers from seeing me whine about the latter. AND GOSH I WOULDVE BITCHED ABOUT THOSE BOSS CHANGES. the part about the bombers in the video was hilarious. I fucking hate all the hints but I do like aspects of the new notebook.
I'm completionist af so I always get all the fairies but I didn't notice the ledge was made ungrabable in snowhead cause I have gotten in the deku way in my last few runs, its just more reliable albeit tedious IMO.

I was surprised personally that they didn't shortcut the unmapped arrows on the bottom left to the main masks, I remember thinking they should when I was playing the original, like "they probably made this change in the new one" (which was released by the time I played mm) but nope instead they made a bunch of changes I never thought they would. fammmmmm
