11 Years after this was discovered - that Vit-D "recommended" levels are 15x too low (USA - UK's are 22x too low). Most people's diets are no where close - and few get enough sunshine to generate it naturally.
But, even if folks took supplements to reach the "recommended" level, they will still not be healthy - will get sick more easily, and more severely - plus higher rates of cancer, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtoxkK7MeKc

@PopulistRight @PopulistRight I agree, there was a time when I avoided the sun because of all the propaganda advising us to do so then I found out that I need ample sunshine in the right latitudes, at the right times and to supplement vitamin D3 in winter months with up to 25,000 to 50,000 IUs. So far it seems to be successful.
