Emperor Palpatine is the only good guy in Star Wars.
The reason he wanted to create the Empire is that he know aliens from outside the galaxy were preparing to invade. And these aliens didn't give jack shit about the universal law of the galaxy (the Force itself. They were literally immune to it). So to protect everyone from these illegal aliens that planned to break the law, he had to unify the galaxy through a Grand Empire.
But Disney discovered that the true sequel to the Star Wars story was such an effective propaganda piece against illegal immigrants, and they had to stop it, because it conflicted with their own plans of removing borders in the US.
They also had to proclaim The Expanded Universe non-canon, because that's where the truth of Palpatine's Empire currently resides in.

I didn't see anything about your cat's gender identity in your bio, so I didn't want to assume her gender. So I thought "it" would be safe enough. She is indeed beautiful. To bad she can't be free and her true potential is limited by her owner.

If your precious Rebels were so good, how come they idolized the Jedi, who's doctrine is suppressing the expression of human emotions? How come you don't count that as social engineering and destroying individual freedom?
The Sith were the only ones that accepted and embraced human emotions. They embraced individual freedom a lot more than the Jedi.

Those who made Luke disappear after being gutless and not facing down his enemy in battle? Those who had a son kill his own father, not only while you watched, but PAID to watch? Those who feigned to create new heroes but left you with a shabby, grim ending that literally destroyed your hero's journey?
We would have never let that happen. In the end the triumph you would have felt would have been unimaginable. A triumph of man's will. A restoration of what is truly good in the galaxy.
