Can't decide yet how I feel about the first and the last examples, but I find the middle one interesting and it gives me hope. Imagine a world were the redistribution of wealth can happen by itself without the need of governments stepping in.
That's how I personally see crowdfunding campaigns as. Instead of paying health insurance money over and over again to a greedy company that rarely pays back and pockets most of the money, or an incompetent state government that always ends up wasting a lot of them, what if people just helped each other in their communities and gave the money directly to the person needing it, with as few middle men as possible. And because there would be less waste, people overall might spend less money on health.
And the beauty is that crowdfunding can work for almost anything.
