Either you like the story or the general concept of the franchise, or you don't. I don't think changing mediums would solve much, unless the previous medium had some inherent limitations to it. And considering animated mediums usually are the ones less limited, I wouldn't think this would be a significant improvement.

The believability factor is less important imo as long as you manage to accurately convey to the audience what the character feels. Sure, eyes popping out of their orbits is not believable. But it does let someone know that the person is scared.

I've heard Romanians say that Italian is actually close enough to our language that you're supposed to be able to understand most of it without needing lessons. Haven't really put it to the test myself. Might do it some day.
But as for my recent understanding of what Deadheat said, you can say thanks to Google for that.
