How is it that saucenao is so much better at reverse image search than both Google and Bing? (please don't mention TinEye, that was always shit for me)
I'm guessing it's mostly because they have a far smaller area to search within. Mostly I'm seeing Pixiv, a few image databases (danbooru, gelbooru) and some anime/manga databases. But I do wonder if their algorithms might also be better for the task they do.

Anime/manga is definitely the best, since I'm guessing it was made with it in mind, but I've found it worked well with other types of artwork too.
@alyx did u try only with manga or you find it better for any image?
