Took a page out of the @roka playbook and changed most of my system fonts to serifs. Got most GTK+ apps to honor them, but Firefox remains elusive. Will investigate later (Noto Sans CJK Semibold 9 if anyone is wondering)

That's because Firefox is shit. I've had my own unpleasant experience with it fucking up fonts and being unreasonable with how it renders text. Which is why I don't use it.

@alyx I was expecting it honestly, I doubt any web browser is "good" in that regard tho, real end-user customization in them went the way of the dodo a long time ago.

True. There was always only one good browser, till Microsoft decided to kill it. RIP IE.

Jokes aside, Chromium browsers always felt like they fit better with how the OS rendered fonts. Haven't had Firefox on Windows for a while, but on Linux it constantly feels like it renders fonts half-way between normal and bold. And I absolutely hate it. Tried for awhile to get it to change size or something, but eventually gave up.
