@11112011 It delivers food that people order online.

If you go on Grubhub or something that robot goes to the restaurant, they put your food in it and it drives itself to your home.

What he's trying to say is that people would steal the robot and the food in it. So the concept wouldn't work where he lives.

@alyx @11112011 Oh I know that.

I just need everyone to know how cool I think delivery robots are.

@l0wk3y @11112011 @alyx We need delivery drones to get going over here. I don't see that coming for a long time though. :(

@wolfspider @11112011 @alyx Yeah the coasts always get everything a few years earlier than everywhere else.

Supposedly we're going to get self driving taxis here soon.

@l0wk3y @alyx @11112011 I don't see that happening anywhere soon though as well. It's always the last 5% of a tech like that takes forever. Even with people helping out with the Google Captchas.

@wolfspider @alyx @11112011 Capchas are the devil, man.

But yeah, I grew up in small town in the midwest and I hated it just for that reason. Like if you ordered something in the mail it took a month at best to arrive.

It took all the new music and such about five years to show up in town.

Thankfully my shitty internet back then kept me sane.
@wolfspider @alyx @11112011 lol, yeah things are better now though right?

I mean at least we've moved on from 56baud dialup.
@wolfspider @alyx @11112011 I kind of am at this point, lol

If you remember the 90's it's like you're old now.

Damn...now I have a strange urge to visit a thrift shop and listen to Chemical Brothers.

@l0wk3y @alyx @11112011 I'm Not, but not doxxing myself:

Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964 (54-72 years old)

@wolfspider @alyx @11112011 That's true, I'm not even close to being that old, haha.

But boomer has become a lifestyle rather than a generational term at this point.

The rise of the 30 year old boomer!

@l0wk3y @alyx @11112011 Yeah. Boomer has been used as a cudgel to smack people with. Lame.

@wolfspider @alyx @11112011 Its one of those internet tropes that get so overused that it loses all meaning.
@wolfspider @alyx @11112011 The same thing is happening with Karen.

Everyone is going to make Karen memes for the next two years, and it's going to be exhausting.
