The problem with saying "All Lives Matter" is it doesn't mean "All Lives Matter". What it really means is you're dismissing the Black Lives Matter movement and signalling that you disaaprove of it and to some extent deny instituinal racism, so yes, all lives do matter, but "All Lives Matter" is not a good movement

I don't even think it's that IMO. I don't think ALM denies institutional racism, it just denies that the cop brutality in USA is primarily caused by racism and it states that you can't really solve this problem by viewing it with a racial lens, when the problem is far more complex.
P.S. I don't even think ALM is a movement, I've heard it used more as a shorthand for saying "this is bigger than a race issue, everyone suffers from this".
