This bugs the hell out of me, why the fuck are people quoting Marketwatch, a publication that deals with stock markets and financial news, for stories that deal with science? How the fuck is that remotely credible?! This feels to me like if I was quoting The Quartering for a story on NASA's Cassini mission.

1. I've went as far as opening the article in desktop view on my phone. I see no link to anything in or at the end of the article. So claiming they're sourcing the CDC is just a bunch of hot air in my view.
