The sad part is seeing some of the atheist personalities I've been following for over 10 years still thinking the Christian right somehow has overwhelming political power and they're likely to take away women's and gay rights any second now if we don't oppose them full force. I cringe so much when I see how poorly they've adapted to the changes in culture. They've defined themselves by this fight against a Christian theocracy that this is all they can see. Most seem completely blind to reality.

No. You're right when you say the Right will see a comeback, because people are indeed tired of the pure bullshit the Left is trying to push. But you're wrong in saying it's gonna be the old Right. It's gonna be something new, not the same old Christian right that America knew. Like it or not, the movement to push out this communist trend is gonna have a lot of atheists in it, and while we'll be tolerant on some things, we'll also not budge on other things that defined the "old Right".

The new right will be much chiller when it comes to vidya. I already hear Trump pardoned someone that used public money to buy vidya.
But I'm not sure about the weed part though. There's still some controversy around it, but I'm not seeing enough to make me thing they'll institute a federal thing one way or another. They'll probably leave things up to the states.
@alyx @DuchessOfMars There is nothing new under the sun. It will be the same old in anything but name, and they’re coming for your weed and vidya!
