I'm still pissed off that they're forcing electric cars to make noise to protect blind people. How about we find another solution for them, instead of taking away one of the best parts of electric vehicles: much less sonic pollution.
For all pedestrians its important that they can have a chance of hearing a car coming around a blind spot
The main benefit of electric cars is that there is almost no vibration and you can't really hear the artificial engine vibrations when inside the chassis
@colonelj@alyx safety features can be annoying. It would be nice to have a car that is completely silent. But for a minor inconvenience they help a lot of people.
Also if you wanted to just remove the speaker than produces the noise I am sure you could find a way
