Can't believe Thunderf00t is literally making the opposite argument of what he made over a decade ago.
From "The Internet: Where religions come to die" (although he was talking about stupid ideas in general), where he argued against censorship and in favor of the open market of ideas, to "How the internet makes stupidity thrive!", where he argues that the algorithm is bad and makes the market of ideas not work anymore, so it's good that Youtube is censoring stuff.
The hilarious part, is that he uses some of the same clips in both videos, so he's definitely aware that he's arguing the exact opposite, but I guess he doesn't care or thinks others are too stupid to notice.
I'm happy to see at least a few commentators taking Thunderf00t to task, but they're no where near being "top comment", so very few people will see them.
He always had this tendency. Many just didn't see it because they fell into the same trap as he did: they didn't see it because they agreed with him.
You never know if a person's arguments are sound until you at least once disagree and have yourself a mind open enough to entertain those arguments.
Maybe I shouldn't put all the blame on Thunderf00t alone. His main audience seems to have degraded in intellect too. Browsing through the comments, and I honestly think these 2 individuals paid more attention to what was on screen than the majority of the other platitude spouting individuals.
