I kinda want to do a Pokemon run on my phone, but I'm afraid I'll turn autistic about it again.

My Pokemon autism consists in 3 main things:
1) I become obsessed in getting good pokemon for my main team, so I keep checking IVs of everything I catch, and catching multiple of the same pokemon until I find something good.
2) I become obsessed with trying to grow berries, and guarantee they don't go extinct, which usually means I have to grind for berries at least twice a day.
3) I become obsessed with catching everything from a route before moving to the next zone. So I'll keep grinding until I catch one of those 1% encounter rates.

Combined, these autisms make playing Pokemon into a chore over time, which is why I never managed to finish gen 4.

@alyx Its not perfect but Pokemon Sword is the easiest game to make perfect pokemon by a long shot

Can berries still disappear from the game if you don't pick them for long periods of time?

@alyx You don't plant berries anymore but shake trees that give you random berries. In general, berries have less use now. If you want you can easily reset a Pokemon's EV using a NPC or you get a billion berries anyway. Also, if you have a Pokemon you really like or a shiny you can hyper-train it to have perfect IVs (not inheritable though)

Truth be told I never really bothered training pokemon up till now because I never played against other people. What was the last generation you played?
