@stoa Being a chan post, I have my doubts that this particular story is true, but I know critical elements of it probably happen all over the place, all the time.
@alyx pretty much my take. You could probably kluge this together from five or six real stories of insanity with a basic perusal of the guardian’s catalog from the last few years.
@stoa@alyx The bit about the parents transitioning to show their support is a dead giveaway that it's fake. That just sounds insane and I doubt any medical professional would actually approve treatment for that.
