There isn't any "real" alternatives. Everything people are gonna recommend are Bitchute or Vid.me level stuff. I don't think that there's anything that can compare to even Youtube of 10 years ago.
@alyx youtube had issues finding ways to be profitable, probably turned people with capital off to video sharing. Kinda sucks.

Odysee.com is promising. The standalone app is basically a video player and torrent client that allows you to seed videos to others. The roll of tracker websites is replaced by blockchain magic (Etherium side chain) so no one has to rely on trackers to list their videos.
Then there's peertube, which is a platform like pleroma that federates that people can host themselves. Peertube also seeds between viewers if it can, but since it's limited to the browser and the browser doesn't make it possible to do otherwise, seeding can only happen while you're on the site. Because they federate similarly, you can actually follow/comment on peertube channels/videos using your pleroma account.
