On your part? Maybe. You didn't even ask her for a source for the claim. For all I know, she's right about the olfactory system.

Here's the thing when talking to a terf, you need to understand that they don't make the gender/sex distinction, at all. When she says the olfactory system determines whether you're a woman or not, for you that translates to determining whether you're a female or not.

If you're gonna try to argue with her that biology doesn't determines someone's gender, you've failed from the very beginning, when her definition of gender is identical with sex.

But in the end, you didn't try to argue with her at all. All you did was jump to insulting her. You don't get to complain after what you did that the interaction was not productive.
