I remember hearing an argument that Fahrenheit is aimed at being a scale for the range of temperatures a person would be able to withstand. As in, 0F is hella cold, and 100F is hot as hell. Whereas in Celsius, that translates to -18C and 38C, which look more like arbitrary numbers.
Just playing devil's advocate. Celsius is clearly superior, surpassed only by Kelvin.
