Being raised as an Orthodox myself, all I can tell you is that the Orthodox Church claims it's the only true Christian denomination that follows the exact teachings of Jesus Christ, unchanged from the early days of Christianity. Because everyone else changed their rituals or traditions, they're all basically fakes, and only Orthodox Christianity is the true faith.
