It looks like KDE's audio playing now system tray icon now has a sound source selection on top of that, that could be quite useful

I already use it to pause youtube videos and the likes without having to go to the damn tab

@coolboymew
What distro are you running? I feel like I've seen what you're describing for some time now, but I don't use that system tray applet much.

@alyx Mx Linux. It's possible that I'm mistaken and it's actually a Debian or Mx Linux thing

I just took the normal Mx Linux iso and separately installed KDE from the package manager instead of the KDE version of it

@coolboymew
I just had a look at my Manjaro, and it seems I was wrong, my KDE doesn't have it, and I just did a system update today. So either MX Linux does package updates faster than Manjaro, or what you're seeing is a MX Linux thing.

@coolboymew @alyx i have that on my system (running fedora), i think it's there by default
@critbase @alyx @coolboymew manjaro _and_ arch are also both capable of having this. although you don't get a drop down, you get tabs (which feature the icon of the source program)(also sometimes it's kinda broke)
