@TheAncestor children possess the ability to consent but that does not mean they are able to gauge the consequences of their actions. I think this type of one-track mindedness as a defense is more caved-in-brainlet wojak than anything else on the internet

Which is why in these discussions the standard usually is "informed consent", as in "are they actually informed and do they understand the consequences of the actions they consent to".
