I was already dissatisfied with Ubuntu when snaps were invented. When they tried to remove 32bit dependencies and completely nuke Steam as a consequence, I've fled faster than you can type sudo apt.
I ended up with Manjaro and I haven't felt the need to change distros since. This way I avoided the Chrome snap controversy and others more. I understand Firefox will be a snap exclusive next.
