99% of the people who are now realizing they were fooled, will not actually lose all trust in the media at this moment. But, for maybe around 30% of them, this will be their first step towards losing trust in the media. If in the following months they notice a few more cases like this, they're likely to be a lot more critical of the media. If things go well, in 1-2 years, maybe around half of those 30% will be somewhere close to your level of distrust.
@alyx @LouisConde They'll never completely lose trust in mainstream media. They are held hostage by their emotions, it was initially reported as 3 BLM protestors shot 2 dead because that conjured a mental image of black men being gunned down and more than a year later thats what most of them still believe and feel strongly about it.
These people don't think, they just feel. A couple of the right phrases changes their state of mind entirely because its easy.
