idk, if it wasn't, I would expect the media to not even report that the person was found.
Besides, burning Christmas tree->anti-Christmas->anti-Christianity, it's not exactly a narrative that the mainstream media are opposed to. So there's enough reason for the media to empathize with the perp, irrespective of race.
