Depends on how fucked up Ottawa is right now as a consequence of the protests.
For instance, parts of USA were imo in the right to declare state of emergency after some BLM/Antifa "peaceful protests".
From the very little I've seen of Ottawa, it doesn't seem like it could be justified yet. I'm not seeing a state of terror being present there, but I've seen very little in general of this topic.

I'm not even talking about "the news". I'm just talking about things that pop up online, be it here, in Youtuber content, podcasts whatever.
Of course, I'm not exactly hunting the info down either. Maybe it really is out there somewhere. I'm just stating that me, personally, I haven't seen enough of it to have a clear picture of the situation and make a decision on the question on hand.
