@alyx i don't know but i always mistakenly thought a cache could serve content cold?

usually things that make use of caches are able to turn around and request the value be calculated and then cached on a miss
apparently their .NET shit wasn't able to memoize calls to the caches they just sat there and waited for the caches to warm up.
