People are snarking because the invasion didn't instantly knock out Ukraine, but Russia is actually doing a lot to minimize collateral damage to civilians instead of acting like marauding Asiatic barbarians which the Western media would love for them to do.

What were people expecting, that Putin would do a genocide of the Ukrainian people?! Would use would that be? That's not why you invade a country. You invade to take control of a people and make them work for you. Which automatically implies that you want as many people still alive after it's over.

Well... people ARE stupid. So far, all I've seen from Russian army have been quite intelligent strikes against strategic targets. And they've moved pretty fast and precise. Don't know why, but I doubt NATO has the training and discipline to pull something similar.
