@alyx fat32 is a terrible partition format that doesn't have usable permissions and can't even store files 4GiB big.
ext4 is a real filesystem, for real use-cases.
For flash driver specifically, either f2fs or ext4 are your best bets.
fat32 is a good partition, considering the evolution of HEVC/AV1 to make movies in 4K in one archive (aprox 1.4 Gb).
@tinosoft Those video formats are sadly restricted by patents, plus take forever to encode to really (and no, a processor with hardware acceleration isn't a solution currently, as hardware I know of requires proprietary firmware to operate).
Sure you can compress a movie to ~2GiB or so, but the quality will be frankly garbage, even if the resolution is 4k.
I don't have any videos of movie length, with decent quality, that aren't at least 7GiB in size.
